If you’re running into issues while trying to verify a social account on Duzlo, don’t worry—there are a few common causes and quick fixes. This guide will help you troubleshoot the problem so you can get verified and start submitting posts.
Make sure you followed the steps correctly
To verify a social account:
Go to Settings > Social Connections
Click Add Social Account
Copy the unique verification code shown on Duzlo
Paste that code into your social bio (not a caption or comment)
Paste the full URL of your profile into Duzlo and click Verify Account
Common issues and how to fix them
1. Your account is set to private
We can’t verify ownership of accounts that are private. Make sure your social profile is public before attempting verification.
2. The code isn’t publicly visible in your bio
Double-check that the verification code:
Is placed in the main bio section of your profile
Is not hidden behind other links or formatting
Is not attached to another string of text (e.g., avoid “Check this code:ABC123”)
Appears exactly as shown on Duzlo, without edits or spaces
3. The verification code expired
Verification codes are time-sensitive and expire after 5 minutes.
If you're using an old code or took too long, go back to Duzlo and generate a new code, then start the process again.
4. The platform isn’t supported
Make sure the social account you’re trying to verify is from one of the platforms we currently support and that there are no typos in the url:
TikTok
Instagram
X (formerly Twitter)
YouTube
Other platforms are not supported at this time although we will be adding several more in the near future.
Still having trouble?
If everything looks correct and you’re still unable to verify your account, try the following:
Refresh the page or sign out and back in to your Duzlo account
Wait a few minutes and try again
If none of that works, open a support ticket through the Help Center and we’ll help you get it resolved.
